Properties and Usage: Taking the form of white powder and soluble in water and ethanol. Usually the dyeability of greige polyester fibre is unsatisfactory as it can be dyed only in a few colours and dyeing costs are high. However, if SIPM is used as the third monomer to make cationic dyeable PET chip (CDPET chip), the dyeability of the CDPET yarn or fabric to be produced thereby will be greatly improved and dyeing results will be extreme satisfactory with a wide variety of colours able to be imparted. Furthermore the dyeing costs can be reduced a lot as CDPET yarn or fabric can be easily dyed even in boiling water. This product is mainly used as the dyeing modifier of Cation Dyeable Polyester(CDPET). The needed amount is 2% of the amount (mole) of Dimethyl P-phthalate. It could also be used in Water Soluble Polyester and Sea and Island Polyester Fibre and used as the catalyst in organic synthesis, macromolecular synthesis, and fine chemistry.
